Come as you are! There are no special skills required; all you need to achieve success is the excitement and desire to style girlfriends in intimate settings. It is as simple as enjoying a few afternoons or evenings out each month doing Trunk Shows. You will hit the ground running with amazing support from your Sponsor, the Home Office and plenty of online tools and training videos.

How many hours do I need to work?
There is no “need to” at Stella & Dot – only “want to.” You decide how much or little you want to spend on your business, based on your schedule and desired income. Some Stylists have outside jobs and only work 5-10 hours a week, while others make Stella & Dot their full-time business. We’re flexible so your life can be, too.
How much can I earn?
You decide! Match your efforts to your desired results. You’ll love Trunk Shows big and small. Some are a few hundred in sales, others are in the thousands. Stylists earn 25-30% commissions on sales. The average Trunk show brings in $1,000, which means you earn $250-$300 for about four hours of work. If you choose to build a team, you can earn up to 18% on your team’s sales. This opportunity can provide “fun money” or a six-figure full-time income. Success is defined only by achieving your goals for becoming a Stylist.
How can online sales help me earn even more?
When you join as a Stylist, you will instantly have an online business presence with your personal e-commerce website where customers can buy, if they can’t make it to your Trunk Show, or visit to make a repeat purchase. Drive customers directly to your site using our customizable Stylist marketing templates. You can also use Facebook to showcase new items, post Trunk Show photos, and keep your customers excited about Stella & Dot. And, when you’re on the go, you can still sell by easily sharing our Look Book and irresistible style videos, and taking orders on your personal website.
How much do I need to invest? How quickly can I become profitable?
You can start your Stella & Dot business for as little as $199 – the cost of our Starter Kit, which is your “business-in-a-box” that contains everything you need to get started: $350 product credit to choose your samples, business supplies, marketing materials, and all the training and support to help you get started. You will be able to make back your Starter Kit investment with just one average Trunk Show, or $800 in sales!
Most Stylists choose to invest ~$200 - $300 more in additional samples to build a strong Trunk Show display, which is still an investment of less than $500 to start their own business. After you get going, you will be able to earn tons of free jewelry through our Jumpstart program, and additional free business supplies through consistent sales. Our goal is to help you become profitable as fast as possible with a minimal upfront investment, and make your business simple and fun to fit your busy life!
How do I order samples?
We take the guess work out for you and make sample ordering as easy as 1-2-3. Simply sign up online as a Stylist, then choose from our recommended sample sets or select samples a la carte.
How do I book my first Trunk Shows?
It’s easy. You have thousands of dollars in free jewelry to give away, so think about who are the lucky debut hostesses to receive your free jewelry? You will start with your “sure things” (mom, sister, best friend) and from there you will learn how to book Trunk Shows at Trunk Shows. We will provide all the necessary training, tools, and materials to help you get started. It’s as simple as jotting down names in each of your social circles – such as friends, family, and neighbors – and asking them to host a Trunk Show. They simply provide the house and the friends while you bring your fabulous samples and Look Books and indulge their girlfriends in a casual, fun and no-pressure environment. Customers get styled with our chic and affordable luxury, hostesses earn free accessories, and you earn a commission on sales. Everyone wins!
How do I get paid?
You'll get instant gratification with weekly pay on your own Stella & Dot debit card.
Is there a minimum I need to sell to remain a Stylist?
Yes. To remain active, you just need to submit $250 in retail sales in a rolling three-month period. This means that your retail sales of the current month combined with the prior two months’ retail sales need to total at least $250, which is just 2-3 customer orders in three months. If you do not meet this minimum, your account will go dormant and you will not be able to enjoy Stylist benefits, including product discounts and eligibility for Stylist incentives. But you can easily reactivate for free at any time within a year by calling in with $250 in retail sales.
Will I receive any training or marketing support?
Yes! You are not expected to be a salesperson, a computer whiz or even a fashionista to be a Stella & Dot Stylist. We provide the training, tools and support that you need to run a thriving business. You will have one-on-one coaching from your Sponsor and you’ll meet other Stylists at monthly team meetings. The Home Office provides weekly training calls and 24x7 online tools. There are regional training events to get hands-on training from local top Stylists. Our national annual conference provides you powerful business training from savvy experts and also a chance to network and view the new collection.
Who works in the Home Office?
Passionate and skilled individuals from all disciplines dedicated to supporting you! Marketing? Manufacturing? Accounting? Inventory Planning? The Home Office has got all that covered so you can just focus on what you love to do best! Plus, you will get to meet us in our weekly coaching and training calls, and through interactive videos and product styling tutorials that are simple and fun. With Stella & Dot you are in business for yourself, not by yourself.
What is the career path beyond personal sales? Do I have to build a team?
You can take your Stella & Dot career as far as you want; the business is flexible and there are no glass ceilings. If you decide that you want to earn more, simply book more Trunk Shows and expand your one-on-one and online sales. Want to grow beyond personal sales? You can bring people onto your team, coach them, and earn up to 18% on their sales. Your best prospective Stylists are your prior Hostesses and customers who have shown an interest in the brand and seen the success you have achieved as a Stylist.
